Thank you Irving, Tobias , Lindsay, Stella and Steven for helping me track down Matt.
Indeed it is Matt Pattison, third from left in picture, http://yrts.boxhill.edu.au/about.html
It was a privilege to attend Linux Conf AU 2019 and meet so many of you.
Sincerely
Malini

Maybe you're thinking of Matt Pattison?

He did speak at the open hardware miniconf, which doesn't seem to have its schedule synchronised with the main website: http://www.openhardwareconf.org/wiki/OHMC2019<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.openhardwareconf.org%2Fwiki%2FOHMC2019&data=02%7C01%7Cmbhandaru%40vmware.com%7C998083e710044b898fae08d68e58612a%7Cb39138ca3cee4b4aa4d6cd83d9dd62f0%7C0%7C1%7C636852907588595948&sdata=UulrcWN%2BHuX5ffLI5J9L3kKMe%2FS01F%2FBo3JTA9U8NZg%3D&reserved=0>

I spoke to him several times, he did work at a tech school but in Victoria, not NZ.

Hello Linux Conf AU buddies!

I wonder if you might be able to help me ..
There was a prof from a New Zealand tech school that serves about 6000 students a year, Matt (?), he had presented perhaps at the pre-conference workshop on Day-2 or Day-3,
on what his school is striving towards with their limited resources. It was powerful, just as was the raffle target.
I am poor with name recall and so wish I had taken a picture of his badge, and both myself and Tobias have scrutinized the conference schedule and not been able to identify him.
Was he even a Matt? He did attend my Automotive IoT, sitting on the left of speaker facing room, perhaps row 2 or 3.
Might you know who I am talking about or how to locate him or perhaps he too reads this chat?

Malini
