Message-ID: <20181112024506.lawidgvisebjoc5s@merlins.org> Howdy, I think Christchurch has lime scooters now, correct? Are there other show up with your phone, unlock, and get to where you're going options? Bikes are preferred considering how many injuries seem to happen with those scooters :) I found https://www.nextbike.co.nz/en/christchurch/locations/ but they are only in 2 locations and don't seem to allow taking the bike anywhere and leaving it anywhere (like you could do in Sydney last year), making it pretty useless. Are there other options? Thanks, Marc -- "A mouse is a device used to point at the xterm you want to type in" - A.S.R. IMHO, the scooters aren't the problem, it's people doing silly things. I found it quite fun, all you need to do is ease yourself into it until you're comfortable on them. See this for interest: https://ccc.govt.nz/assets/Uploads/18-1158098-ITE-Scooter-Pilot-Update-7-11-2019.pdf We're not even sure at this point if the scooters will be available come LCA2019 because the permit expires the week before. I'm not sure how available regular bikes will be either: https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/103429842/christchurch-bike-share-incredibly-disappointed-after-being-ruled-out-of-permanent-gig Cheers, On 12/11/18 3:45 PM, Marc MERLIN wrote: > Howdy, > > I think Christchurch has lime scooters now, correct? > Are there other show up with your phone, unlock, and get to where you're > going options? > Bikes are preferred considering how many injuries seem to happen with > those scooters :) > > I found https://www.nextbike.co.nz/en/christchurch/locations/ > but they are only in 2 locations and don't seem to allow taking the > bike anywhere and leaving it anywhere (like you could do in Sydney last > year), making it pretty useless. > > Are there other options? > > Thanks, > Marc -- Steven Sykes Chair, LCA 2019 Twitter: @linuxconfau Web: linux.conf.au/ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
